The CBI filed its third chargesheet in the infamous Nithari serial killings case on Tuesday against Surinder Koli though his employer and co-accused Moninder Singh Pandher was not named in it.

The chargesheet, submitted in the court of Special Judge Sapna Mishra, accused Noida-based businessman Pandher's domestic help of abduction, rape and murder of five-year-old girl Payal.

No charges were framed against co-accused Pandher in the document, the third filed by the agency ever since it took over investigations into the grisly killings of women and children from Noida police in January.

The chargesheet is expected to draw protests from the families of the victims as the name of Pandher was missing from it.

He was also not charged with any heinous crimes in the first and second chargesheeets.

The CBI had filed the second chargesheet on AprilĀ 2, accusing Koli of abduction, destruction of evidence, rape and murder in connection with the killing of 20-year-old Pinki Sarkar in October 2006.

The first chargesheet was filed on March 22 in which Koli was booked by the CBI for murder, rape and kidnapping while Pandher escaped the murder charge.

The CBI had registered 19 cases in connection with the serial killings.

The CBI had said that Koli was a necrophiliac, a person interested in having sex with dead bodies, and suffered from necrophagia, a disorder in which a person eats human flesh.

The CBI findings had sent shockwaves among the people of Nithari after which they had hit the streets against the premier investigating agency accusing it of 'protecting' Pandher.
