Curfew was clamped in Narsinghgarh town of Rajgarh district after two communities clashed and set on fire around 50 shops, besides pelting stones at each other, police said.
Police used batons and fired teargas to control violence that broke out when a Hanuman Jayanti procession was being taken out. Reports said 10 people were injured in the town. Prohibitory orders under section 144 of CRPC were clamped in Nogaon town of Chhatarpur district following tension due to a fight between two communities, police said.

Police were deployed in all sensitive areas and steps were taken to maintain peace in the area.
