Durga Puja, the festival symbolising power and the triumph of good over evil in Hindu mythology, is being celebrated with joy and reverence across the country.

And, people are leaving no stone unturned to express their devotion to the ten armed goddess. Many devotees have been thronging this makeshift pandal in Kolkata, which has been decorated using more than 150 dhaks (drums).

The four-day long Durga Puja festival will culminate on October 2 with the immersion of the clay idol of the goddess in the river Ganges.
