Bina Ramani remanded to police custody

A day after she was arrested in Goa in connection with a case of cheating and forgery, socialite Bina Ramani  has remanded to four days police custody by a Delhi Court.

She is a key witness in the Jessica Lall murder case.

While allowing her custodial interrogation, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kamini Lau said one of her lawyers Aman Sarin or Sandeep Kapur would accompany her in Delhi and outside.

However, the court cautioned that the lawyer will not interfere in any way during the interrogation.

The Court directed the Delhi Police to take Ramani for medical examination every 24 hours. The court directed Ramani to exercise restrain from making press statements during the investigation of the case.
