Gangster Babloo Srivastava on Wednesday announced that he will float a political outfit ahead of the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls.
With this, he also announced his resignation from Sone Lal Patel's Apna Dal.
Talking to media person at the collectorate, Babloo said he would form a political party before the elections so that eligible and talented youths could enter the political arena.
Taking strong exception to Apna Dal president Sone Lal Patel's announcement of giving party ticket to Abu Salem, he said, "I don't want to keep any relationship with the party which wanted to get close to the Mumbai serial blast co-conspirator.''
Yesterday, Patel had released the book Babloo Srivastava's Unfulfilled Dreams and on the occasion had given a clean chit to all criminals, including India's most wanted criminal Dawood Ibrahim.
Babloo said he could contest the assembly elections from Mubarakpur in Azamgarh district against Abu Salem.
Salem had recently announced his intentions to contest the assembly elections in UP due early next year.
In the 2004 Lok Sabha polls, Babloo had contested the Sitapur seat on an Apna Dal ticket.
Babloo was in the state capital to appear in a local court for a criminal case.
