Amid controversy over National Security Advisor M K Narayanan's remarks on evidence of Inter-Services Intelligence in the Mumbai blasts, Union Home Secretary V K Duggal on Monday said it was a "fairly solid evidence".

"The words used are -- it is a very good evidence. Since I am also privy to this, it is a fairly solid evidence," Duggal said adding, it would be produced before the court.

A highly placed source in the security establishment said the evidence of ISI involvement, which India would share with Pakistan, may be good but not clinching in the court of law.

"The evidence may be good but not clinching in the court of law," he said.

The remarks of the Union home secretary that the evidence was fairly solid come a day after Narayanan said India has "pretty good", though not possibly "clinching", evidence of Pakistan ISI's involvement in Mumbai train blasts.

The NSA had also said India would share intelligence with Pakistan under the joint anti-terror mechanism only if New Delhi sees a "great deal" of cooperation from the neighbouring country.
