The government Thursday told Parliament that the issue of cross-border links to Mumbai blasts was raised with Pakistan during last week's Foreign Secretary-level talks but evidence was not shared as the charge-sheets had not been filed in the case.
The Rajya Sabha was also informed that the government is conscious of apprehensions over the India-Pakistan anti-terrorism mechanism set up last week and remains vigilant to prevent any adverse impact on the country's security.
"The matter concerning cross-border links to Mumbai blasts was raised with Pakistan during the Foreign Secretary talks," External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee said in a written reply.
The talks were held on November 14-15, marking resumption of the composite dialogue that was disrupted for four months due to July 11 Mumbai blasts.
"Evidence on the Mumbai blasts has not been given to Pakistan as relevant charge-sheets are yet to be filed," Mukherjee said, adding government is alert to the possible misuse of the information shared.
The anti-terror mechanism, comprising three members from each side, has been mandated to consider counter-terrorism measures, he said.
Pakistan has expressed willingness to cooperate based on specific inputs, the minister said.
He said the issues of cross-border terrorism and Mumbai blasts were discussed with the US also as part of the ongoing dialogue.
