Leader of Opposition Lal Kishnenchand Advani on Wednesday called on Chinese President Hu Jintao, who is currently on a visit to India.
The BJP leader met the Chinese leader at his hotel and is understood to have discussed various aspects of bilateral relations. The meeting lasted for about 20 minutes.
Earlier, the main opposition party had announced that it would raise its objections in Parliament on the Chinese ambassador's recent remarks about his country's claims on Arunachal Pradesh.
On Monday, Bharatiya Janata Party MP Tipar Gao from Arunachal Pradesh demanded Chinese President Hu Jintao declare the state an integral part of India during his current visit.
Also, the BJP had expressed its reservations over Hu's arrival on November 20 because the day marked the 44th anniversary of China's ceasefire after a war with India in 1964.
