The government on Thursday said the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and police are of the opinion that it is difficult to carry out sealing in Delhi in the current tense situation.
The sealing drive will not begin before November 6, the government has said.
The government hurriedly introduced five bills listed for the day namely the Delhi Tibbia College (Takeover) Amendment Bill, The Delhi Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Bill, The Delhi Commission for Safai Karamcharis Bill and The Members of Legislative Assembly and Ministers (salaries and allowances) Bill.
Earlier, the Delhi Assembly was adjourned without any discussion on the resolution moved by Chief Minister Shiela Dixit on the issue.
Delhi Speaker Chaudhary Prem Singh adjourned the House for the day on the request of some Congress MLAs.
The MLAs did not show any interest in discussing the resolution to stop sealing of shops in the capital.
As soon as the Assembly joined for the day's proceedings, BJP member Harsharan Singh Balli started shouting anti-Sheila Dikshit slogans, demanding the government to clear its stand on the sealing issue.
The lone BJP member present in the House rushed into the well, ignoring the repeated warnings from the speaker who ordered the marshals to evict him and suspended the MLA for three days.
Other BJP members, who were suspended for three days for creating ruckus in the Assembly over the sealing issue, shouted slogans against the government outside the House.
