Zaheera gets 1 year in Mumbai prison

A sessions court on Wednesday ordered prime witness in the Best Bakery case Zaheera Sheikh to undergo one year imprisonment in a Mumbai [ Images ] jail as per the Supreme Court order imposed on her for contempt of the court.

Judge Abhay Thipsay ordered police to lodge Zaheera in the Byculla jail in Mumbai to execute the Supreme Court order sentencing her to one-year jail term and Rs 50,000 fine.

The judge also ordered that Zaheera might be given a set off for the period she has already spent in prison after her surrender before the court recently.
