An accused in the Sabarmati Express carnage case was Wednesday arrested from Godhra town, police sources said.
"The arrested person was identified as Sayed Abdul Biryani, who is alleged to be one of the core group members that torched the S-6 coach of the Sabarmati Express on February 27, 2002, in Godhra," the sources said.
Biryani, who has been absconding since the incident, was arrested after police got to know he was hiding in a certain localty.
Nearly 100 people have been arrested in connection with the case so far, the sources added.
