Meher Bhargava is dead

Meher Bhargava, who was shot at by four persons in Lucknow [ Images ] when she tried to prevent her relative from being eve-teased, died in New Delhi [ Images ] on Saturday evening.
Bhargava, 50, the wife of senior Congress leader Luv Bhargava, breathed her last at 1815 hrs at the Apollo Hospital, where she was admitted on February 28, a hospital spokesman said.
She was shot at on February 20 outside Dalipur Towers -- barely 100 meters from the office of Lucknow Superintendent of Police, reportedly for protecting her daughter-in-law from the men who passed lewd comments at her.
