844 Pakistanis given Indian citizenship in 2005

India granted citizenship to 844 Pakistani nationals in 2005, apart from 185 Afghanistanis, 63 Sri Lankans and 41 Bangladeshis.

The information was made available by Minister of State for Home S P Jaiswal in a written reply in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday.

As per the information available, 18 Chinese nationals were granted citizenshp in the last three years, Jaiswal said.
