The Local Arms branch of the Mumbai Police Wednesday obtained permission from a sessions court in Mumbai to question Daya Nayak regarding the use of bullets assigned to him while he was in service.
Nayak, who is in judicial custody currently in connection with a disproportionate assets case lodged by the Anti-Corruption Bureau, had surrendered his revolver and bullets assigned to him to the Local Arms branch after he was suspended from the police force in February.
As some of the bullets are spent, the officials will question him about the use of these bullets, sources said.
Nayak's second bail application will be heard by the sessions court on March 10.
