A terrorist lodged in the Tihar Jail in New Delhi was brought to the city on Monday for interrogation in connection with the Indian Institute of Science shoot-out case in which one person was killed and several injured.

Police said the team investigating the case brought Ibrahim after taking him into police custody till March 10. He was made to undergo a polygraph test for five hours at the Forensic Science Laboratory at Madiwala in the city.

On December 28 2005, terrorists had entered the IISc campus and opened fire indiscriminately at delegates who had come from various parts of the country and abroad to attend an international seminar in the campus. While Professor M C Puri from New Delhi lost his life in the incident, five others sustained injuries.

The city police arrested one Abdul Rehman, suspected to have links with terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Tayiba, in connection with the case. However, they have not been able to narrow down on the main culprit behind the attack, which had sent shock waves among the people of the city. Though police released a picture of one of the terrorists with the help of eyewitness accounts, it yielded no results.
