Third round of Indo-Pak talks from March 28

India and Pakistan will hold the third round of talks on six of the eight topics of the Composite Dialogue from March 28 and conclude it with a review at foreign minister level on July 21.

This round of secretary-level talks will begin in Islamabad on March 28 when the two countries meet for two days to discuss economic and commercial ties, a statement by the external affairs ministry said Monday. Talks on the Tulbul/Wular Barrage will take place in Islamabad on April 18-19, Siachen on May 23-24 in New Delhi and Sir Creek on May 25-26 in New Delhi. Terrorism and drug trafficking will be discussed on May 30-31 in Islamabad to be followed by talks on promotion of friendly exchanges on June 1-2 in New Delhi, it said.

The secretary-level talks will be followed by a review by foreign secretaries of the third round of the dialogue on July 20 and foreign ministers on July 21. A meeting of the joint commission will take place on July 22. The two countries have already held talks on two topics -- Jammu and Kashmir and peace and security, including Confidence Building Measures.
