Visiting United States President George W Bush [ Images ] on Thursday offered floral tributes to father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi [ Images ] at his memorial in Rajghat in New Delhi [ Images ].

Bush, accompanied by wife Laura, offered prayers at Rajghat on the banks of river Yamuna as hymns played in the background.

Bush drove down to the memorial of the Mahatma after a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.
