US President George W Bush and Laura Bush left the Rashtrapati Bhavan for Rajghat shortly after 9 this morning.

From Rajghat, President Bush will leave for Hyderabad House near the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Laura Bush will speed east across town to Noida in Uttar Pradesh. She is headed for the television studios at Film City in Noida to participate in an episode of the Indian version of Sesame Street, which is soon to air on Indian television. She will meet the little girl who stars in this desi version of the popular American children's television show.

This was confirmed by David Kennedy, press secretary at the US embassy.

She will also visit Prayas, a home for abused children in Tughlaqabad, where she will interact with five children for about an hour. Mrs Bush will visit Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity too.

Laura will also accompany the US President to Hyderabad tomorrow morning.
