Former Jammu and Kashmir minister Raman Mattoo, arrested in connection with the sex racket case, was on Wednesday remanded to four-day CBI custody by a local court in Srinagar.
Mattoo, an independent legislator representing the Habba Kadal constituency, was produced before Chief Judicial Magistrate M Y Akhoon who remanded him till June 24.
The CBI had on Tuesday arrested former ministers and sitting legislators G A Mir and Raman Mattoo in connection with the sex scandal.
While Mattoo was arrested from his Srinagar residence, Mir, the legislator of Dooru constituency, was arrested from Jammu and Kashmir House in New Delhi.
Mir and Mattoo, who were ministers under former chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, were booked under the Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act for procuring persons for prostitution.
Under this Section, the two, if convicted, will have to undergo three months imprisonment or pay a fine of Rs 20,000 or both.
