The annual Amarnath pilgrimage was suspended again on Saturday as Pahalgam and Baltal routes leading to the Himalayan cave shrine remained unfit for travel due to incessant rains.
The yatra has been suspended for Saturday and Sunday from Jammu due to bad weather prevailing along Pahalgam and Baltal routes, police sources said.
On Friday, a batch of 1498 pilgrims had left from the base camp of MAM stadium. Over 3800 pilgrims have left from Jammu so far to the shrine since the begnning of the annual pilgrimage on June 10. Earlier, the yatra was suspended from here for four consecutive days from June 11 to 14.
