Maintaining that Pakistan has a 'wider gameplan' to force migration of Hindus from Jammu and Kashmir, the Bharatiya Janata Party asked the United Progressive Alliance government on Wednesday to assert that the bilateral dialogue process cannot go on if the killing of innocent Hindus continued.
"The situation is becoming serious in Jammu and Kashmir with terrorist activities increasing daily, causing insecurity among the people, especially Hindus," senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu told reporters.
"The surge in terrorist activities is only to force Hindus to migrate from Jammu, under a wider Pakistani gameplan," he said. The 'plan' has already been implemented, he added.
Naidu, who participated in the BJP's satyagraha against killings of Hindus, alleged that the UPA government has 'no policy, clarity, roadmap' to face the challenge in the border state.
"The government has failed miserably to safeguard the life and property of innocent citizens," he said. "Dialogue can wait but killings must stop."
