Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Sunday offered full medical care for the five-year-old boy Prince trapped in a pit in a village in Haryana since Friday.

"The prime minister prays for the speedy rescue and good health of the young boy who has been trapped in Kurukshetra since Friday. The Haryana government is making all efforts to rescue the boy and we will take full medical care of the boy on his rescue," said a source in the Prime Minister's Office.

The sources also quoted Singh as saying that he was praying 'that the boy's unexpected trauma ends quickly'.

Army and civil authorities have also sought the aid of the Mumbai fire force in rescuing Prince, who has been stuck for nearly 48 hours in a 53-feet pit dug for a tube-well.

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda reviewed the rescue operation.

Prince fell into the deep, narrow pit left uncovered by workers in Haldheri village on Friday evening while he was playing near it.
