On the evening of July 11, India was shocked to learn that seven bombs had exploded on Mumbai trains, leaving behind a trail of blood and destruction.

The eventual toll: 184 people dead, over 700 others injured.

India, of course, is no stranger to terrorism.

Many of our cities have been attacked by terrorists. Delhi. Srinagar. Jammu. Coimbatore. Kolkata. Varanasi. Bangalore. Gandhinagar. And, of course, Mumbai.

In the last ten years, an Indian Airlines plane has been hijacked to Afghanistan. Several buses and trains have been bombed. Even our Parliament has been attacked.

How many terrorist strikes can a country take?
