Former prime minister H D Deve Gowda's son H D Kumaraswamy on Wednesday staked claim to form an alternative government in Karnataka.
Karnataka Chief Minister N Dharam Singh of the Congress, which had formed the government with the help of Deve Gowda's Janata Dal-Secular, sought to put up a brave face by asserting that his coalition government faced no problem and told the governor to ignore Kumaraswamy's letter.
