There is no change in the Bharatiya Janata Party's decision to go it alone in the assembly polls in Tamil Nadu, a senior BJP leader said Monday.

Former Union minister and BJP's national executive member S Thirunavukakrassar told a press meet in Chennai the party would not have any tie-up with either All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam or DMK.

BJP had in the past struck alliances with both parties, but they had distanced themselves from it, he said.

Asked whether the party would think of an alliance with other parties, barring the two, he said it would be considered at the time of elections.

He condemned the Centre's decision to cut subsidy on food grains and demanded it withdraw its decision.

He demanded the Centre release more funds for flood relief work in Tamil Nadu.

He expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in repairing roads, damaged in the recent rains.

He also condemned the "frequent attacks on Indian fishermen by Sri Lankan Navy".
