Two kidnappings in Bihar on Thursday

A prominent businessman's son Prashant Jain was abducted in Patna late on Thursday night by unidentified armed criminals, police official said.

Jain's abduction  has shocked the business comunity, who threatened to protest against the incident on Friday and  demanded his immediate release.

Prashant Jain's uncle S K Jain said Prashant was abducted by half a dozen near his residence in the heart of Patna .

In another incident, the son of a government official has gone missing from the state capital and is suspected to have been kidnapped, police said on Friday.

The abducted Prashant Jain is the brother of Shilpi Jain, who was murdered in mysterious circumstances a few years ago.

Naseem Akhtar, 15-year-old son of  Naeem Akhtar, the sub-divisional officer posted at Darbhanga, left his home in
Pataliputra Colony around 7.30 pm on Thursday to buy a pen but did not return.

His family members, who began a frantic search for Naseem, a class VIII student of Don Bosco academy, reported
the matter late last night to the police, who have registered an FIR.
