The Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus will ply again across the Line of Control from February 20 when Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad reopens the reconstructed Aman Setu (peace bridge) on the LoC.
The bridge at Kaman had been destroyed in the earthquake on October 8 as a result of which the bus service, launched on April 7, had to be suspended.
The service on the Indian side from Srinagar up to Kaman resumed on December 14. However, travelers had to cross the LoC through a causeway as the Aman Setu was unusable.
A new bridge has now been built by the Indian army at Kaman.
