Ashok Pradhan, former minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government and Bharatiya Janata Party member of Parliament from western UP, has asked for the dismissal of Mulayam Singh government forthwith and imposition of President's rule in the state so that the law and order situation can be brought under control.
Speaking to rediff.com in Nithari village in Noida on the outskirts of Delhi, Pradhan said that he was shocked beyond words when he saw the story of the skeletons of children being found from a house in the village itself.
"I was in Sonipat in Haryana when I got to know about this sordid and dastardly act. I spoke to Atal Bihari Vajpayeeji on phone and told him about it and he asked me to visit the place immediately and take first hand account of the incident. I have rushed to the place and now I plan to meet President Kalam tomorrow and demand immediate dismissal of the Mulayam Singh government. Congress also cannot escape the responsibility," Pradhan said.
He demanded an impartial investigation in the case. "We feel that this is a fit case for investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation to restore the confidence of the people. This incident took place because of the failure of the police and the administration led by the chief minister," he added.
Pradhan consoled the members of the families of those children who went missing in last two years. Most of these children aged between 5-15 are from Nithari village.
