Film star Sanjay Dutt, who was recently cleared of any role in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case, paid a visit to Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray.
Dutt, who visited Thackeray at his residence 'Matoshree' in Mumbai's suburban Bandra late on Thursday evening, was with the Sena chief for more than half an hour, sources said.
The actor thanked Thackeray for his support to him and his family during their times of crisis, they said.
Though the court absolved Dutt of charges of conspiracy, it found him guilty of illegally possessing arms. Dutt, who has got an extension of bail till December 19, faces a sentence of up to five years in jail.
