Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader L K Advani has urged Muslims to come forward to build a Ram temple at the disputed Ram Janambhoomi site in Ayodhya.

Speaking to media-persons in Rajkot, Advani said although a court case was pending on the issue, a mutual agreement could be arrived at. He appealed to Muslims that the temple that exists at the disputed site was a symbolic one and it was necessary the Ram temple came up there.
He reiterated that his Suraksha Yatra was not related to the ongoing assembly polls.
For the first time the BJP has openly rebuked the Indo-US nuclear deal. Advani criticised the United Progressive Alliance government's handling of the nuclear deal. He said former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had in an interaction with him on Wednesday discussed how India has ended up giving more and more concessions during every round of negotiations with the US.
'Muslims to welcome Advani's yatra'
"Is it not a surrender? Why is the government not concerned? The nuclear deal will have a negative impact on the country's nuclear programme," Advani said.
