Repoll would be held on Wednesday in 5 polling stations of Assam where an estimated 65 per cent turnover was recorded during the first phase of polling on Monday.
The repoll will be held from 7 am to 4 pm, the Election Commission said on Tuesday.
Amid unprecedented security, an estimated 65 per cent of the 92 lakh electorate cast their votes on Monday in the first phase of assembly elections in the state, which passed off peacefully in sharp contrast to militancy-marred democratic exercises in the last several decades.
