In his statement Joshi said whatever responsibility has been bestowed on him, he would strive to carry out sincerely and will remain committed to "not to lowering the dignity of the post."
"BJP has once again entrusted the responsibility of general secretary (organisation) and hence I am thankful to party president Rajnath Singh.
The party has reposed faith in me and that will enhance my capacity," he said. "A sleaze CD involving me was circulated during the silver jubilee celebrations of BJP in Mumbai in late December and I was sure, I was not the person shown in the obscene CD.
The Madhya Pradesh police has now vindicated my stand," Joshi was quoted as saying in the statement.
"Bhagwat has last night reinstated me as Sangh Pracharak and I will remain part and parcel of system," Joshi said. Joshi, who had resigned from the post in the wake of the circulation of sleaze CDs, was reinstated by BJP President Rajnath Singh with immediate effect. RSS General Secretary Mohan Bhagwat reinstated Joshi as a Pracharak (organiser) on Sunday.
BJP vice-president Bal Apte welcomed Joshi to the city BJP office.
