An unidentified person called up the police on Thursday claiming that a bomb had been placed on a flight to Kathmandu after which an Air Sahara flight to Nepal's capital was delayed.
The flight was given the go ahead after a thorough search, Airport Police Sub-Inspector Rajbir said.
The flight, which was scheduled to depart at 1315 IST, was searched by bomb and dog squads, airport sources said.
The person who had made the phone call from a PCO did not specify on which flight the bomb had been placed, police sources said.
But as the Air Sahara flight was the only scheduled to leave for Kathmandu at the time, it was being searched, they added.
Efforts were also on to trace the caller, the sources added.
