Janata Dal-United on Sunday failed to release the list of its candidates for the forthcoming Bihar assembly elections as promised and instead introduced former Bihar minister Kumud Ranjan Jha, whose induction was formally approved by George Fernandes.
Jha had quit the Congress to join hands with Nitish Kumar.
"He has joined us unconditionally to express his resentment against the misrule of Rashtriya Janata Dalin Bihar," Dr Shambu Shrivastawa said.
Shrivastawa denied there were differences between the JD-U and the Bhartiya Janata Party over seat adjustment.
"There is no dispute. The negotiations are going on and we'll announce the names of our candidates very soon," he said.
On Friday night, BJP's election in-charge for Bihar Arun Jaitley and Bihar party president Sushil Modi called on Sharad Yadav at his residence in their bid to sort out differences over a few seats.
BJP wants to contest 105 seats, but the JD-U is not willing to give more than 95 keeping in mind the results of the last elections, where the BJP fared poorly in a number of constituencies.
Yadav insists these seats be given to JD-U for a better chance for the alliance to win and help in the battle against the combined might of RJD, Congress and CPM.
