External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh and his Pakistani counterpart Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri have discussed the ongoing peace initiatives between the two countries and pledged to take the dialogue process forward.
The two leaders met briefly at a lunch for South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation ministers hosted by Pakistan on Monday and expressed their determination to make all efforts to take the peace process forward.
Kasuri told Singh that he looked forward to his visit to Islamabad next month to discuss the ongoing efforts to resolve various issues facing the two countries.
They noted that the peace process is on track, an official said, adding this was a brief encounter and not a formal meeting between the two.
