Describing his expulsion from Bharatiya Janata Party as 'unjustified', an agitated Madan Lal Khurana on Tuesday said he was "hurt" by the decision but stuck to his attack on party President Lal Kishenchand Advani for "deviating from ideology" and converting the party into a "private limited company".
Hours after BJP's disciplinary committee recommended his expulsion for six years; the party's erstwhile Delhi strongman said his strength would be demonstrated on Thursday when his supporters hold a public meeting in Delhi to back him.
"I am hurt. I am suprised that the decision has been taken even before I responded to the show cause notice," Khurana said, "Is it democracy?"

"In my letter to Advani I criticised his comments on Jinnah... The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and others in the Sangh Parivar also wanted Advani to resign," he said wondering why action was taken against him only.
Attacking Advani, Khurana said, "In 1998, BJP was like a family. Now it has become a private limited company."
He said Advani also withdrew his resignation and said, "This is a matter of debate."
Khurana said he was suspended on August 20 after he raised the issue of Gujarat riots in his letter to Advani but in the show cause notice, the questions asked to him pertained to his earlier letter where he attacked the party chief for his comments on Jinnah.
