A Vadodara court on Tuesday acquitted 108 people in connection with a post-Godhra communal riots case in which two persons of minority community were killed.
The court indicted Gujarat police for failing to prevent the incident.
Fast Track Court Judge C M Atodaria passed the orders in the case and acquitted 108 persons for 'lack of evidence'.
The court also observed that 'in spite of policemen being present when the incident occurred, they could not identify the accused persons and that if they had taken enough precaution the incident could have been prevented'.
