The heavy security deployment during the ongoing Bihar assembly poll is going to make history with the NSG personnel would be deployed during the third phase of assembly polls on November 13. "It is the first time in the country that NSG personnel would be deployed for polls duty," police officials said in Patna on Tuesday.
According to official sources the ministry of home affairs had agreed to deploy NSG for Bihar polls. "The state government's request for sparing NSG personnel was approved by the ministry" sources said.
"The NSGs would be deployed in the Naxalite-affected distrcts along the India-Nepal border during third phase of polls" a senior police official told rediff.com.
Sources in police said the decision to deploy NSG personnel was taken to conduct trouble free polls.
In the first phase of polls in 61 constituencies concluded last week 90,000 security forces include 600 companies of the CPMF were deployed.
Similarly 600 companies of CPMF would be deployed during second phase of polls in 62 assembly constituencies on October 26 beside, four helicopters.
