A police complaint was lodged against the Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav in Vaishali district on charge of threatening government officials.

The Vaishali district officials confirmed on Tuesday that a complaint was lodged against Lalu in Bidupur police station for allegedly making threats against certain district officials. "We have lodged a sanha against Lalu in this connection," officials said.

Lalu during campaigning for his wife and former chief minister Rabri Devi in Raghopur assembly constituency threatened the officials promising to take them to task after the formation of RJD government.
"Some officials are conspiring against the RJD. Let the government be formed .I will take all of them to task," Lalu said in his election meeting.

Lalu reportedly also said officials who were harassing the RJD candidates will be 'taught a lesson' soon after the RJD came back to power.

Last week a first information report was registered against Lalu and his wife Rabri Devi for violation of model code of conduct.
