The Election Commission has ordered suspension of presiding officers at three polling stations and repolling in seven booths in Bihar's naxalite-hit Imamganj assembly constituency, its special obsever K J Rao said on Wednesday.
The repolling in booth numbers one to four, nine, 42 and 76 were ordered, following complaints of electoral malpractices.
The presiding officers posted at booth numbers nine, 42 and 76 were also placed under suspension for their alleged failure to discharge their duties, he said.
He ruled out any change in the date of polling in other four Naxal-affected constituencies of Belaganj, Bodh Gaya, Gaya (mufassil) and Gaya (town), rescheduled for October 21 for security reasons.
