Militants on Sunday night stormed a Hindu village in Jammu and Kashmir's quake-hit Rajouri district, killing at least 10 people.
Official sources said a group of militants descended on Pudhal village after midnight and forced the victims out of their homes, before gunning them down.
As reports of the massacre reached Rajouri district headquarters, a police team was dispatched to the village.
"We are waiting for a detailed report from our team," a senior officer told rediff.com.
No militant group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
