Jodhpur: Dalit woman identifies four rapists

A Dalit woman allegedly raped at a temple complex in Jodhpur four days ago, on Wednesday identified four accused during a parade at the central jail in Jaipur, official sources said.

The identification parade was conducted in presence of the magistrate, the sources said adding that police will file a challan in the chief judicial magistrate's court against the four - Guddu, Anil, Shankar and Manoj.

The woman, belonging to the Bheel community, was allegedly gangraped by the accused in Ranchoreji temple run by Devesthan Department of the state government on October 1.

The accused were arrested from different parts of the city in the past couple of days. Guddu and Manoj have confessed to their involvement in the crime, said Superintendent of Police (Jodhpur) Ravi Prakash Mehrada.

One Ramesh Meghwal, who is said to be known to the woman living alone for the last two years after being separated from her husband, allegedly lured her to the deserted place of the temple.
