Underworld don Abu Salem's girlfriend Monica Bedi, who is facing a criminal case for obtaining a passport under a fictitious name from the Regional passport office in Hyderabad, was remanded in judicial custody till November 25 by a special CBI court on Saturday afternoon.

Bedi, who was brought to Hyderabad on Friday night on transit remand and kept at the CBI office, was produced before C V Subramanyam, judge for special court for CBI cases, at his residence at Marredpally around 1510 IST.

The judge asked her if she had to say anything for which she replied in the negative.

When the advocates representing her wanted to meet her, the judge permitted a lady counsel Sabhana Sha to meet her at the Women's prison at Chanchalguda jail complex.

The CBI filed a petition seeking five days' custody of Bedi for interrogation. The petition will come up for hearing on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Bedi's lawyers are planning to move the bail petition for Bedi on Monday.
