PM arrives in Dhaka for SAARC Summit

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [ Images ] arrived in Dhaka on Friday to attend the 13th SAARC summit beginning on Saturday.

Bangladesh Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia was present at the Zia-ur Rehman International Aiport, where Dr Singh was accorded a ceremonial reception.

Before embarking on the three-day visit, Dr Singh said in New Delhi [ Images ] that he hoped the initiatives to be taken at the Summit would contribute significantly towards realising the enormous potential for economic, social and cultural cooperation in the seven-nation grouping.
