Only relief material will be sent across the Line of Control to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir from Kaman Post-Chakoti crossing point in Uri sector, which would be opened on Wednesday. This is because documents for the people willing to travel have not been cleared by Pakistani authorities, official sources said on Tuesday.

Thirty people from Jammu and Kashmir and 16 from PoK were expected to cross the LoC from the second of the five designated points for joint quake relief operations.

Also, the people have decided not to cross the LoC on Wednesday as the road between Kama Post and Chakoti is still not motorable after being damaged in the October 8 quake.

The third point of Teetwal-Nauseri point in Tangdhar is scheduled to be opened on Thursday, sources said.

Hundreds of locals had converged on Monday after the Poonch-Rawalkot crossing point in Jammu region was opened. But only relief material were ferried across the Line of Control as the documents for the people willing to travel were not ready.

India and Pakistan had, last month, agreed to open five crossing points along the LoC to allow relief and members of the divided families to cross over after the devastating earthquake.
