Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Wednesday met Delhi Transport Corporation driver Kuldip Singh's family to express condolences and assure them of all help.
Kuldip, along with his conductor Budh Singh, threw out a bomb planted in the bus, saving many lives on Saturday when three bombs ripped through the city's busy market areas.

"This consolation cannot take away my grief. I will be happy only when my husband returns home with no deformity," Kuldip's wife, who is eight-months pregnant, said.
Kuldip is said to have lost his eyesight and hearing ability in the bomb explosion.
"My husband saved over 60 lives and in turn lost his eyesight and hearing. But nobody bothered to think about us," the eight-month pregnant woman said.
Dikshit handed a cheque of Rs 20,000 to Nigam and promised free medical treatment for her also at Deen Dayal Upadhaya hospital.
The chief minister also asked the family members to call her any time if they needed any help.
"The way Dikshit talked to me, I felt like my mother consoling me. But the assistance of Rs 20,000 is much less an amount than what we deserve to get. I am not satisfied with the assistance," Nigam said.
The chief minister promised residential facility for the family members and assured a permanent job to Kuldip.
Earlier in the day, Bharatiya Janata Party president Lal Kishenchand Advani met Kuldip in AIIMS and assured him all possible assistance.
"The party president told him that the party would be in constant touch with him and render all possible assistance," Delhi BJP president Harsh Vardhan, who accompanied Opposition leader Advani, said.
Advani and Vardhan also met six other persons injured in the blasts.
