Jammu and Kashmir police on Sunday shot dead two Lashkar-e-Tayiba militants in an encounter in Udhampur district, a senior police officer said.
Acting on specific information, the police launched a search-and-cordon operation in the Gool area of Udhampur district early on Sunday, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Satvir Gupta told PTI.
Two AK rifles, two magazines, three grenades and one wireless set were recovered, he added.
