CBI questions Mayawati in disproportionate assets case

The Central Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday questioned Bahujan Samajwadi Party chief Mayawati [ Images ] in connection with an alleged disproportionate assets case, which was filed two years ago.

Mayawati was questioned by sleuths of the Anti-Corruption unit of the agency at her official residence in New Delhi [ Images ], CBI sources said.

CBI had filed two cases against the former Uttar Pradesh [ Images ] chief minister, including her alleged involvement in the Rs 175 crore Taj Heritage Corridor scam.

Mayawati was earlier quizzed by the agency in connection with the Taj scam last year.
