Lalu sticks to his demand on resignation of ECs

Shortly after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [ Images ] fully backed the Election Commission, Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav [ Images ] on Tuesday stuck to his demand for the resignation of the two election commissioners whom he has accused of conspiring with the Bharatiya Janata Party [ Images ] to countermand polls in Chapra constituency.

"I am not making any allegation. I am supporting what L V Saptarishi has said. I am not against the commission," Lalu Yadav [ Images ] told reporters.

Asked about Dr Singh's remark fully backing the EC, the Rashtriya Janata Dal chief said, "I am not answerable for what the prime minister has said."
