Lok Janshakti Party chief Ramvilas Paswan has set up a committee to explore a new formula for formation of a popular government in Bihar in a week.
Paswan also added the LJP still favoured a non-RJD, non-BJP government.
"The LJP committee will explore new options for formation of a government and submit its final suggestion within a week," he said after a meeting with his 29 legislators.
The move is seen as his ploy to keep his party's MLAs intact in view of reports about threat of split.
Bihar has been under President's rule ever since the February assembly election threw a hung House.
